Wood Statements Shipping Policy & Delivery Instructions

Thank you for your order with Wood Statements. Please read this Shipping Policy carefully, as it contains important information about delivery procedures and your responsibilities when accepting your order.

Delivery & Scheduling


Upon Delivery – Important Inspection Instructions

It is essential that you carefully inspect your shipment at the time of delivery. Your signature on the delivery paperwork (bill of lading) is a legal acknowledgment that the goods were received in acceptable condition unless otherwise noted.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Inspect all crates and packaging carefully upon receipt.
  2. Always sign the bill of lading as “Subject to Inspection.”
  3. If there is visible damage to crates or product:
    • Call us immediately at 630-723-9064.
    • Note all damages clearly on the bill of lading and sign as “Damaged.”
    • If freight is severely damaged, refuse delivery.
    • Take clear photos of the damaged product and packaging.
    • Retain all merchandise and packaging materials. The freight carrier requires this for any claim.
  4. If there is concealed damage (packaging looks intact but product is damaged):
    • Follow the same steps above.
    • Report concealed damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  5. Send all documentation and photos immediately to christy@woodstatements.com.
